Nikarry`s in Aurora

Stopped on a whim, thinking breakfast, had the senior stuffed pepper, oh my! Be hungry, stuffed pepper, salad, baked potato and bread. Brought the baked potato and salad back to the hotel for this evening. Husband had liver and onions, homemade cream of mushroom soup and mashed potatoes and gravy, I brought the potatoes and gravy back too. Very good, go in hungry and if you leave hungry you didn't eat your meal, no one can leave this place hungry. Also, didn't even look at the dessert, WOW!!

I love coming to this place on the weekends with my family. Even through its busy the customer service is always nice and polite. They have very good food in my opinion and I love their soups and salads.

Great waitresses. Very big. Clean bathrooms. A lot of parking! You can order through phone. Great prices. Good soups! My family and I go very often we always get the light breakfast which come with eggs, sausage or links, and ur choice of pancakes or toast. The chicken tenders are really good they make them themselves they are not store bought and the chicken and rice and chicken noodle soup is very good! You must also try their deserts I love cheesecake and I love their not chocolates my brothers and I always get them we go there like almost every other month as a family if possible.

It's not gourmet, just a good local diner with friendly service, large portions and a relaxed environment. Nikarry's doesn't try to be something it's not, but they do serve a wide variety of comfort food, all of which appears home made. I've never had a bad meal there, although most of them have been breakfast. It was one of my late father's favorite place to dine because of the service and portions.

Best pancakes you will ever try. Nothing compares to these heavenly breakfast delights. Service is excellent, and all the staff is very friendly.

I recently visited Nikarry's in Aurora while staying at Naperville and thought the food was great and very reasonably priced. Nikary's is easy to get to from I88, just take the highway 31 exit southbound and you run into on the left after a few miles. Aurora also has a casino and a brew pub in an old railroad roundhouse. The place was really busy during Mother's Day and in glad we could make reservations. The food was amazing. I had a veggie skillet and others had skillets or pancakes and they liked it as well. Service was fast.

I am amazed with the food. I got the Turkey with gravy , mashed potatoes and corn. It came with a very great soup I chosed sea food with fresh home made bread rolls very soft at the touch. The main course was cooked to perfection..I send out my total Respect to the chef in the kitchen. I recommend this restaurant to everyone to try..

Cozy place, fast service. Our waitress was great and pretty much the main reason they got the 3 star. The soup and bread to start was great but the meatloaf was pretty bad. Over salted and seamed like it was prepackaged not home made like they claim and the vegetables that came with it were clearly straight from a can. My wife had the grilled cheese, she wasn't a big fan of the bran bread it came on but that was edible at least. I'd be willing to try this place again because of the service but I will probably be sticking to breakfast foods.

Good service and better food

A good place to eat breakfast and lunch. They close rather early 3 pm. Nice likeable staff. Petro is a nice guy. Holly and Jen and Felecia and Pat are cool waitresses.

They serve big portions and for convenient rates. very welcoming owner. Great work.

Thing is I didn't get a chance to eat here. It was just so busy. I mean I figured the parking lot being completely full was a good sign but when you get inside and they're still online and the restaurant is packed on a Sunday morning to me speaks miles on how awesome this place is. And owned by Greeks which doesn't really surprise me as you can tell how busy all the wait staff and management is rushing around.

I recently learned of this restaurant from a group on Facebook, who rave about Nikarry's. I stopped by for my usual 1st time breakfast at a new spot... biscuits and gravy. I was disappointed to find a 1/3rd of the gravy cold. They obviously microwave the orders. Perhaps they don't sell enough gravy on Mondays to warrant having it on the steam table?It's not a game changer and I'll likely give them another visit to redeem themselves. The sunnyside eggs were cooked to perfection and my server was sweet. She said she would have gladly brought me a new order. I didn't find the cooler gravy until my final bites and was already filled up. There's no shortage of gravy on the dish, I just prefer it piping hot.The interior is a bit warn and I wonder if it has been renovated since it opened in 1991? This was formerly a Big Boy restaurant too.Update: I made it back in. I just can't get past the musty smell, which I'm guessing is from the worn out carpet. I won't be returning.

This spot provides fantastic service as well as enjoyable food. One of my favourite places in the city. The food served quick and the prices were reasonable. Will definitely recommend this restaurant.

This restaurant is my first choice site. Of all restaurants I know I love it most. I never miss an opportunity to go to that place. when I want to go to a fair lunch, this is the place that comes straightaway to my head. very good and food and a large menu.professional staff, and great vibes. And very important, the tariff is good

My family comes here once a week. The are famous for their soup and fresh bread. Amazing breakfast spot. Very busy but great prices and great waiters.

We were taken here by relatives for Sunday breakfast. The place is pretty big, nothing fancy, but obviously loved by locals! It was packed in no time. We had wonderful food. My friend and I split an omelet and there was enough left for both of us for supper! If we were ever in the area again, I would love to go back!

two days ago was the first time we came to that place. But It is absolutely not the last. We had a good time with the good service, with the fine food and fine drinks and with the friendly charge. We will definitely come back again.

Everything was delicious tonight! My friend tried the Impossible burger and it was very very good! So much so that even our kids said next time they might get impossible burgers instead of regular burgers.

A great family atmosphere, very family friendly. They offer a large menu to choose from. The wait staff and owners are very personable. They offer senior's as well a kids menus. You can go at anytime to have a hot meal, or cold salad. Don't forget the fresh hot baked bread served daily to your table. You can choose anything from Breakfast to Dinner. I'm glad they survived the virus.

Been dining here every week since it was a "Big boy" Everything is so well prepared here and the staff and owners are delightful!

Good food. I happened to visit on a day when they were serving pizza soup. It was amazingly delicious. They dont have it all the time but ask, it might be the day! My server was great.

My most recently visit during lunch time.I ordered the senior special for 7.00 (big) Chicken salad very fresh and crispy include soup of the day, desert and fresh baked rolls. My onions, croutons, homemade creamy garlic dressing, and cottage cheese couldn't be on the plate to as you can see why. Everything was delicious. The waitress was very helpful and polite. The entire family will enjoy any food item from here always fresh and delicious to your liking. Most of all clean, and entire staff nice

I absolutely love the Chicken Noodle Soup from this place!

Our waitress was nice and the table amenities were good quality. However, a good waitress can not overcome the poor preparation and quality of the food nor waiting a long time for the food to arrive. The pasta sauce on my spaghetti tasted watered down. The chicken breast in the chicken parmesan was unbreaded, unsauced, and dry. The omelet looked like the cook forgot it was cooking. Finally, there was more filler in my blueberry pie than blueberries.

It's not what it used to be. You still get a lot of food but it's not as tasty anymore.

Overall good. Senior lunch specials. Too much food! Too much breading on the shrimp for my wife's taste. I had the fish and chips. Came with soup or salad, bread, a huge portion of mixed vegetables, a huge plate of fries and two portions of fried fish. Fish tasted much better than it looked.
